WHAT:
Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina’s 26th Annual Empty Bowls fundraising luncheon is back at the Charlotte Convention Center-Richardson Ballroom and hosted by WBTV News Anchors Kym Anderson and Jamie Boll. Empty Bowls attendees will enjoy lunch, bid on items at the huge silent auction, purchase tickets for $1,000 Food Lion gift card raffle, see live pottery demonstrations, and select a hand-made bowl to take home that will serve as a reminder that someone’s bowl is always empty. Let’s all come together for this event because we need to continue our efforts, now more than ever, to alleviate hunger in the 24-county service region (14 counties in NC and 10 counties in SC) that the Food Bank serves.
