Harris Teeter Associates to Assemble 2,500 Holiday Meals for Families in Need
Teaming up with Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, VolunTeeters will pack holiday meal bags with everything needed to prepare a fresh holiday meal.

WHAT:
Tuesday, Nov. 3, Harris Teeter associates will assemble 2,500 holiday meal bags. Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina will distribute to families in need, helping ensure local families have a holiday meal. The Food Bank serves over 950 partner agencies in a 24-county service region (14 counties in NC and 10 counties in SC).
Each holiday meal bag will contain chicken, brown gravy mix, savory herb stuffing, yams, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, corn muffin mix, and mashed potatoes, plus a reusable In Food with Love shopping bag. Harris Teeter partnered with Kraft, Bruce’s Yams, Jiffy, and Idahoan Foods to make this donation possible.
2026 marks the 15th year Harris Teeter has hosted a bag assembly in Charlotte with Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, reflecting the company's 30-year partnership with the organization.

The bag assembly is hosted in partnership with Harris Teeter's annual Harvest Feast Round Up campaign, which invites shoppers to round up their transactions to the nearest whole dollar at checkout. Funds raised through this campaign are evenly distributed across eligible partners serving communities across Harris Teeter’s markets.
This event is one of several Harris Teeter is hosting in November as the company works alongside its customers to help end food insecurity. Each year, Harris Teeter donates millions of pounds of food to partner food banks and packs holiday meals to feed thousands of families.
