Several weeks ago, we notified each of you that we were planning to reschedule our Empty Bowls 2020 event. We were hopeful at that time that we would be able to host the event this summer. Unfortunately with all that is going on related to COVID19, we do not feel this will be possible.

Therefore, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the event for this year. Everyone here at Second Harvest is extremely disappointed as this event is one of our favorites and we so look forward to seeing each of you. We are planning to return with the event in 2021.

Because we had already secured close to 200 silent auction items, we are planning to go ahead and hold the auction online from June 15-19, 2020. You will receive a link ahead of time that will enable you to bid. Please bid and send to your friends.

Understanding that the pottery bowl and coupon book are favorite parts of the event, we would also like to offer the opportunity to pick up a bowl and book if you wish. I know that it is not the same as getting to pick the bowl yourself, but I will handpick them and you cannot lose because they are all beautiful.

We would also offer the ability to let us retain the bowl for use in 2021 as we have no idea what the impact of COVID19 has been on our potters. We are happy to accommodate either way.

Please let us know if you wish to pick up a bowl and coupon book no later than May 22, 2020 by noting yes or no in our poll below. Should you not hear from you by close of business day (5:00 p.m.) on May 22, 2020, we will assume you are forfeiting the bowl and coupon book. Once we know how many folks wish to pick up we will get back in touch with everyone with instructions on how this will work.
